Junior Court Counsel (J.C.C) is a youth-founded, youth-led apolitical organisation dedicated to legal empowerment and civic engagement among Zimbabwean young people. We build constitutional awareness, defend children’s rights in marginalised communities, and nurture the next generation of legal-minded leaders.

Who we are Junior Court Counsel is a youth-led organisation based in Zengeza, Chitungwiza. We exist to raise legal awareness among young people in Zimbabwe, promote responsible citizenship, and support vulnerable children and communities.
Legal Awareness & Constitutional Literacy
We run interactive workshops and seminars that demystify the Constitution and explain civic rights and responsibilities in plain language. Sessions are tailored for students, youth groups, and community leaders.
Court Observation & Legal Exposure
Structured visits to courts give members first-hand insight into judicial processes. These visits are accompanied by guided briefings and reflection sessions.

Child Rights Support & Social Welfare
We mobilise resources to meet immediate needs in marginalised communities — providing clothes, food, school fees and menstrual hygiene materials — and run targeted drives to end period poverty.
Youth Leadership & Legal Mentorship
Through partnerships with legal organisations and practitioners, we mentor aspiring legal experts, nurture leadership skills, and foster interest in governance and public service.
